I woke up today with such a sense of peace and hope….bliss….what a wonderful time we are in. I’ve never been political myself…and avoided the subject like the plague….I have family members who take it so seriously and would get in debates that would go on for hours….so I learned early to tune it out…go else where….let the “grown ups” worry about it….that was fine as a child but I forget that I’m an adult and an American…I think that I’ve taken that for granted. This year…and honestly, just very recently….I have really been praying and watching, and I believe that wonderful things are in store for our country….the feeling out there is just so amazing, so full of love, happiness and unity….the meditation group that I’m in was doubled today, the people in the bank were happy, the store….but not every one….we need to keep praying. We are “one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all” and that is coming. For some, there is the issue of race….but it’s time for this to come out into the light so that it can be healed. I intend to continue to send my prayers directly to President Obama, (I’ve been sending them to Bush and McCain too up to this point), his family…and us…the United States.
For President Obama I pray that the mantle of Christ’s Light protect him, (and his family), the Love of God enfolds him, the Peace of God fills him and may he be constantly blessed and endowed with the Wisdom of God all the days of his life and especially during his term(s) as President.
This next prayer I received from a friend as a pass along email a few months ago and loved it so much that I say it every day….include those who you wish to pray for along with the rest….I put in names that are for my area.
God, I ask you to bless my friends, family members, enemys, President Obama, Jennifer Grandholm, Verg Benero, Pastor Barb, the United States of America, the State of Michigan, Greater Lansing area, Sycamore Creek Church, Happy2beMe, The Healing Place and all of our leaders both public and private right now. I’m asking you to minister to their spirit at this very moment. Where there is pain, give them Your peace and mercy. Where there is self doubting, release a renewed confidence to work through them. Where there is tiredness or exhaustion, I ask You to give them understanding, guidance, and strength as they learn submission to Your leading. Where there is spiritual stagnation, I ask You to renew them by revealing Your nearness, and by drawing them into greater intimacy with You. Where there is fear, reveal Your love, and release to them Your courage. Where there is a sin blocking them, reveal it, and break its hold over their lives. Bless their finances, give them greater vision, and raise up leaders and friends to support and encourage them. Give each of them discernment to recognize the evil forces around them and reveal to them the power they have in You to defeat it. I ask you to do these things in Jesus’ name, amen.
